Islah & Her Monster

Islah & Her Monster

My Illustration Installation for the 2013 Emily Carr University of Art + Design Grad Show.
Little Islah is playing in her garden when she discovers an old, overgrown log amongst the brambles that she hadn’t noticed before. She promptly crawls through, quite curious and eager to see what waits for her on the other side. When Islah emerges into the new magical forest, she is greeted by her favourite toy come to life! He has been waiting for her there, and is so excited to take her on a journey around his woodland home. What happens next is still being written!

Mixed Media: pencil crayon, black ink, kraft paper, sketch book paper, light bulbs, plexi-glass. A mix of cut outs, drawings and collage work. Largest piece is 34×48″
